Nevertheless at Your Word.

Many times in our life, we feel like we are living in a desert and we cannot see the green pasture around us. I have been in that place many times. Here is Good News – The One who is leading us like a Shepherd has a promise for us in Psalm 23:², He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

But Simon answered and said to Him

Luke 5:⁵ 

“But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled [Own efforts, strength] all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word [Giving up your own plans] I will let down the net.” ⁶ And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish [Supernatural intervention], and their net was breaking.

 ⁷ So they signalled to their partners [Share, Tell others about it] in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats so that they began to sink. 

⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord [Peter recognized himself in the presence of God]!” And that was the miracle that changed destiny of Peter forever. Have you ever been at a nevertheless place in your life?

When we say “nevertheless”, what do we mean?

• In spite of preceding events.
• Regardless of what had happened before. It does not matter what has happened before.
• Notwithstanding what has happened.

John 1:¹

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was at the beginning with God. ³ All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. 

Everything that we see and experience in our lives was created by a Word! God through Jesus SPOKE everything into existence! It is at His word that kingdoms rise and kingdoms crumble. 

It is at His word that many cities become a wilderness and their armies melt away like the dew of the morning. John 1:^14-18 Jesus [WORD] became flesh . . .

Tried ALL night and caught NOTHING.

Tried ALL night and caught NOTHING, then JESUS showed up and EVERYTHING changed! Not your efforts, your greatness and hard work and wisdom! BUT Jesus!

The problems in your business, your workplace, your finances, your marriage, and your children have a solution and His NAME! Is Jesus Christ!

• It is at that Word that Noah began to build an Ark.
• At that same Word, the door was locked
• The Red Sea opened
• The Grave opened, and Jesus arose

He will take you to the other side, storms may come, but we WILL get to the other side! Luke 8:²² And He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side of the lake.”

Luke 5:³⁶ 

Then He spoke a parable to them: “No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. 

³⁷ And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilt, and the wineskins will be ruined. ³⁸ But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.

Col 3:⁹ 

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, ¹⁰ and have put on the new man who is [Continually] renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 

Rom 12:² 

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 2 Cor 10:⁴ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 

⁵ casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

TRUST in the Words of Jesus!

The disciples had to learn to TRUST in the Words of Jesus! Have you learned to TRUST in His Words?

2 Kor 5:¹⁷ 

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. John 15:⁴ Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 

⁵ “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. ⁶ If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 

⁷ If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

• I am praying for somebody here that your kind of blessing will be so great that you will have to invite people to help you in the name of Jesus! Receive a net-breaking breakthrough in the name of Jesus!
• Someone here this morning, nevertheless at the word of Lord, what they say is not possible for you again shall be made possible in the name of Jesus!
• That area where they have written you off, at the word of the Lord shall manifest rapidly in the name of Jesus! You shall have testimonies!

We are prophesying upon the life of people here, no matter what you have passed through, no matter the blockages they have placed on your way, no matter the evil report they are saying about you, no matter those who hate you with perfect hatred, nevertheless, you shall overcome them in the name of Jesus! You shall put them to flight in the name of Jesus!

When you call upon Him today.

When you call upon Him today, you are calling upon Him whose boundary is beyond human possibilities. Human language cannot describe His power. You are calling upon the God whose power can cancel any power no matter the situation.

• Proverbs 3:^5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
• Hebrews 13:⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
• Joshua 1:⁹ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
• Psalm 33:⁴ For the word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.
• Romans 8:²⁸ We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
• John 14:¹ “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Me.”
• Psalm 20:⁷ Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

• • If you have a Word, you can make it THROUGH the Storm.
• • If you have a Word, you can DANCE in the fiery Furnace.
• • If you have a Word, you can SLEEP like a baby in a Lion’s den.
• • If you have a Word, you can BEAT THE FAMINE with a little Flour and a little Oil.
• • If you have a Word, you can WALK on Water.
