In this 2022 Overview, we look back at everything La Gratitude Related for the past year – a throwback tribute to all our followers and wonderful residents. 

With this, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to all our supporters, followers, residents and everyone who supported La Gratitude during 2022. We are blessed to be able to interact with each and every one of you. Your contributions to our efforts are worth gold to us, it does not matter if you support us with a simple click of the like button or donate money to our cause, we appreciate all the support we have been getting from all of you. Thank You!

1. A New Beginning – 2022 Overview.

We kickstarted this year by bolstering our social and online presence with a brand new website and social media accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn and more. It took a bit of doing and demanded a lot from everyone working at La Gratitude, and the result is fabulous.

Our website is designed to help anyone interested in making use of the many services offered by La Gratitude. Our broad range of services ranges from self-sustainable senior living flats to fully assisted Frail Care facilities and Cottages.

The new website is a hub of information and allows visitors to get to know our teams, download application forms for accommodation, see our media features and subscribe to our blog with weekly topic discussion posts. Other key parts offered by our website include the ability to get in touch with a Coordinator and start a career at La Gratitude via our Careers Portal.

2. Weekly Blog Posts – 2022 Overview.

If you are not yet following us on Social Media, now is a good time as any to click the follow button and stay in touch with our weekly blog posts. Each week we take a look at a new topic, these range from activities at La Gratitude to related informative articles.

3. Our Supporters – 2022 Overview.

We are Northern Natal’s Friendliest Retirement And Senior Living Community. La Gratitude Newcastle is a registered multiracial establishment that provides elder care for all races and people from all walks of life. 

We are a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) dedicated to serving the needs of all the residents at La Gratitude. As a non-profit organization, we rely on support from various Government departments, and businesses and donations from individuals or companies.

You can make a difference

With your assistance, the volunteers at La Gratitude will be able to take better care of not only the residents at the old age home but also the greater Newcastle community. La Gratitude is constantly involved in outreach projects to help the elderly in need in and around Newcastle.

Your donations will be greatly beneficial in the provision of food and other basic necessities for the less fortunate elderly people that require assistance.

4. Social Responsibility

We are committed to being socially responsible within the community and are actively involved in numerous outreach and awareness programmes in rural and urban areas throughout the Amajuba District. This includes the provision of vital services for older persons from all walks of life. The social efforts we endeavour mainly focus on the health of those in need of care, vulnerable and frail older persons within the community and surrounding areas. 

5. Careers at La Gratitude – 2022 Overview.

At La Gratitude we are a committed team that provides a holistic approach to the care of frail older persons within La Gratitude Home for the Aged. We apply this motto by ensuring excellence in the provision of loving care and services within a safe and secure environment and various housing facilities (flats and cottages). 

Furthermore, we are dedicated to promoting and maintaining the highest standard of residential care for frail older persons through understanding the ageing process, and age-related diseases.

We have made it our mission to enhance the quality of life of vulnerable aged persons through education, outreach and assisted living programmes all with the assistance of our qualified team who are committed to the values of the organization.
